In/finite

For his series "In/finite" (2005), Kyungwoo Chun asked five selected people, who were originally from five different countries, to come to his studio one after the other on different days without giving any further preliminary information. On the spot, they were supposed to lie down and then talk about their mother for exactly one hour. This one-hour narrative was recorded as an audio track and photographed as a long exposure of exactly one hour. While viewing the photographs, the recipients can also listen to the reports about the respective mothers of those depicted. History, stories and image enter into a multi-layered connection of personal life experience. More
