Essentially, these are two drawings cut into one another: the colored markings on the support surface counterbalance a cut, extremely light and semi-transparent sheet, through which the colored markings on the reverse side show faintly through the thin paper.
Each marking on the support is completed by a partially cut marking on a strip, forming a new, composite whole. This complex system extends across the sheet, rhythmically structured by ridges. Like in film editing, the cutter determines what is seen and what remains unseen.
