The exhibition "on architecture," deals with the many facets of contemporary architecture in art and brings together works by nine internationally renowned artists who examine and interpret the relationship between space, structure and human interaction: Hams Klemens, Dean Monogenis, Renato Nicolodi, Eamon O Kane, Ralf Peters, Daniel Rich, Marten Schech, Lucy Williams and Thomas Wrede.

Architecture is more than just the construction of buildings; it is an expression of culture, identity and zeitgeist. In "on architecture", different perspectives and media are used to explore the deeper meaning and emotional resonances of architectural forms.

- Hams Klemens focuses on the abstract qualities of buildings, creating minimalist compositions that capture the essence of architectural lines and surfaces.

- Dean Monogenis paints dynamic urban landscapes in which the boundaries between reality and imagination are blurred. His works reflect the constant change of urban environments and the influence of time on architecture.

- Renato Nicolodi works with sculptures that represent monumental yet timeless structures. His works play with the perception of massiveness and emptiness and encourage reflection on the spiritual dimension of buildings.

- Eamon O'Kane explores the connection between nature and architecture. His works often show hybrid spaces in which natural and built elements merge harmoniously.

- Ralf Peters uses photography to document and simultaneously abstract the urban landscape. His works are characterised by a clear, precise depiction that captures the beauty and complexity of modern architecture.

- Daniel Rich translates photographs of architectural structures into precisely painted works that emphasise both the originality and symbolism of the buildings depicted. His works are a reflection on power and politics in architecture.

- Marten Schech's built sculptures and objects take up the structures of buildings. This makes the statics of buildings tangible and reflects the functions of durability, safety and protection of a dwelling. At the same time, his sculptures can be correctly located in terms of building history and categorised chronologically.

- Lucy Williams reconstructs modernist architectural models in miniature form, placing particular emphasis on attention to detail and materiality. Her works are a tribute to the pioneers of modern architecture and their visionary designs.

- Thomas Wrede combines real landscapes with model architecture in his photographs, creating dreamlike scenarios. His works reflect the longing for idealised worlds and the tension between reality and fiction.

Architecture and art have always had a close relationship, with the boundary between the two disciplines becoming increasingly blurred. Architecture is not only a functional discipline, but also an aesthetic and cultural one that shapes our daily lives and our perception of the world.
Another focus is on the deconstruction and recontextualisation of architectural elements. These works question our preconceived notions of space and function and open up new perspectives on the built environment.

"on architecture" invites the viewer to discover the different approaches of the artists and to reflect on fundamental questions: What is architecture? How does it shape our lives and our environment? And how can we experience new dimensions and meanings of spaces and structures through art?
