Invitation to the conversation format “echolot” on Wednesday, 20 May 2026, at 6:30 pm with
Katharina Hinsberg and Jaeyun Moon
In Katharina Hinsberg’s works, lines draw images and spaces: they measure and organize, establish rhythm and structure. As gestural notations detached from their supporting ground, they can become autonomous objects in their own right. First drawn and then cut into or out of paper, these lines interrogate space from different perspectives: they appear as absences that point to what lies behind them, or, as isolated objects, they seek new spatial relationships.
In Jaeyun Moon’s works, incised lines reveal the depths of layered colours, exposing fragments of what lies beneath. She too explores pictorial bodies and space in her own distinctive way. By uncovering previous layers of the image, she develops a unique visual language of spatial investigation.
Together, both artists examine the dimension of lines between surface and space, between the visible and the concealed.
echolot is a conversational format that offers artists a platform for exchange on content, form, and artistic practice. At its core are dialogue and reflection on both one’s own artistic work and the practice of the invited guest.
Each evening features an invited artist who introduces a fellow artist whose work they value and with whom they are engaged in an ongoing professional dialogue.
