Bernhard Knaus Fine Art presents new works by Austrian artist Herbert Hinteregger in a second solo exhibition in the gallery. His works are above all an expression of their own objectivity. Monochrome white, primed only canvases, showing structures, lines and screens. As in his works with ballpoint pen ink, Herbert Hinteregger emphasizes the effect of color and canvas in their materiality and surface structure. He applies the primer layer by layer so that the structure of the canvas is still clearly visible, but also created by the color a screening. The canvas as a spatial object on the one hand and the processing surface on the other hand, in combination with the color that absorbs all light, forms a kind of relief, a spatial structure.
