Light Objects

With his neon works, Harald Kröner has developed a distinctive body of work in which language, writing, and spatial drawing are compellingly intertwined. At the center is not only light as a visual phenomenon, but also the material and technical specificity of the medium itself. The time-honored technique of mouth-blown glass tubes filled with noble gases and illuminated by high voltage lends the works a unique physical and poetic presence. In this way, works emerge in which text and light do not merely occupy space, but transform it into an immaterial, atmospheric drawing.
