SCHULE trifft GALERIE trifft SCHULE
07.03.2025 - 09.03.2025
Bernhard Knaus Fine Art, Frankfurt am Main
We are pleased to present the fifth edition of SCHULE trifft GALERIE trifft SCHULE in a double feature:
From 7th to 9th March, the students of the Lessing-Gymnasium in Frankfurt and the Friedrich-Ebert School from Pfungstadt will be showcasing their works created in the school context at the Bernhard Knaus Fine Art Gallery. We cordially invite you to join us for the opening of both exhibitions, "Wilde Farben" and "Facetten", on 7th March from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. On Saturday, 8th March, both exhibitions will be open from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. The students from both schools will be offering free guided tours of their exhibitions on Saturday. On Sunday, 9th March, the students of the Friedrich-Ebert School will be present in the exhibition from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
We look forward to welcoming you, together with the students and their teachers!
This unique nationwide format brings together schools from the Rhein-Main region with galleries in Frankfurt. The aim of the project is to introduce students to the profession of a gallery owner and to present school art professionally in the public sphere. Over the past few months, the student groups, guided by their art teachers, have produced artistic works that will be shown in an exhibition curated and organised by the students themselves.

"Wilde Farben"
Onion skins, flowers, berries, leaves, roots – these can all be used to create wonderful natural dyes in an environmentally friendly way. From the dyed textiles and printed papers, which are either used directly or further transformed into small works of art, an installation emerges in the fascinating, nuanced colours of natural pigments.
Opening Hours:
Vernissage: Friday, 7th March from 6:00 pm, introduction from 7:30 pm
Saturday, 8th March from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm
Sunday, 9th March: Closed
