The exhibition “WEISS WAR DER SCHNEE (White was the Snow)” will open at the Fuhrwerkswaage on 20 March 2026 at 6 pm, presenting photographs by Thomas Wrede that document the retreat of Alpine glaciers. The display is enhanced by a 16-metre-wide panorama from the MOUNTAINVIEW Gallery.
At the opening, the artist and geoscientist Dr André Baumeister will give talks, providing insights into glaciers as climatic archives and discussing the implications of their ongoing retreat. The exhibition combines artistic and scientific perspectives, highlighting the subtle yet irreversible transformations affecting these fragile environments.

The photographic exhibition at the Fuhrwerkswaage will be open on:
Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 March, as well as Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March,
from 2 pm to 6 pm on each day.
Mountainview Gallery:
The nine-part panoramic photograph (2 × 15 m) of the veiled Rhone Glacier is displayed on the exterior wall and will be on view until 30 April.
